HyCator™: OLM Reactor System has following advantages over other similar technologies:
• What is the application of HyCator™: OLM Reactor System in industrial/ process application?
HyCator™: OLM Reactor System for online mixing of chemicals for neutralization and other mixing applications LIKE emulsifications, homogenization, creating suspensions, and dispersions.
• What is your commercial proposal?
For giving a techno-commercial offer pilot trial needs to be conducted for the said mixing operation. Based on the results of the pilot trials costing, design and economic viability of the HyCator™ OLM Reactor System will be decided.
Pilot tests results will quantify the effectiveness of the HyCator Reactor System and will be essential to custom design the product as per your needs. Pilot trials can be carried out in presence of your representative in our lab at a nominal cost. After the successful pilot trial, you can either go directly for a plant scale unit or if you need more fine tuning, then you can go for a larger pilot setup.
• How much time will be taken for the pilot trial?
After receiving purchase order and samples, Pilot trials will conducted within 10 working days.
• What will be the expected outcome of the pilot trial?
The expected outcome of the pilot trial can be predicted only after getting the data of phsico-chemical properties of the stream as per HyCa’s questionnaire for online mixing.
• What is the space requirement for HyCator™: OLM Reactor System?
HyCator™ OLM Reactor System does not have footprints. Typical dimensions of HyCator™ are 8 pipe diameters ´ 3 pipe diameters ´ 2 pipe diameters.
• What will be the weight of HyCator™: OLM reactor system?
Based on the pipe size the typical weight of HyCator will be ~100 kg to 400 kg. However the actual weight and size of HyCator™: OLM reactor system may very depending upon pipe size, streams to be mixed, and flowrate.
• Which type of streams it can handle and of what capacity?
HyCator™: OLM Reactor System can handle any type of stream and of any capacity. Streams with exceptionally low pH (<0.5) high solid content (>20 % v/v) or high Viscosity (>100 cP) or other extreme property will be treated as special consultancy assignment and will be charged on a case by case basis.
• If needed how can we separate the HyCator from the main line?
A bypass valve will be provided in HyCator™ Reactor System and can be completely bypassed from the existing cooling water circuit whenever required.
• What will be delivery period of HyCator™: OLM reactor system?
The delivery period of the HyCator will be 6 – 8 weeks after the receipt of Purchase order.
• Does HyCator™: OLM Reactor System require any external energy supply?
HyCator™ OLM Reactor System uses the only fluid energy (0.5 - 1 kg/cm2) & NO separate energy supply in form of electric/ compressed air etc is required for the HyCator™ OLM Reactor System.
• What additional hardware or manpower is required for installation?
No additional hardware is required. For installation client needs to arrange only fitter & welder. Tuning of the HyCator™ OLM Reactor System is very well documented in the installation guide provided with HyCator™ OLM Reactor System.
• Is this technology cost effective?
Yes it is, because it saves power and brings microlevel mixing in given energy. This leads to saving in terms of chemicals requirement e.g. when HyCator™: OLM Reactor System is used for emulsification, less quantity of emulsifiers/ surfactants can create better quality of emulsion
• Does HyCator™: OLM Reactor System requires continuous Monitoring?
HyCator™: OLMReactor System does not require continuous monitoring. It operates on ‘Fit and forget’ principle. HyCator™ requires zero operational supervision and maintenance freeing the personnel for other productive work.
• Is Installation of HyCator™: OLM Reactor System difficult?
Installation of HyCator™: OLM Reactor System is very easy and needs only fitting it in bolted flanges at the required location. The weight of the HyCator ranges from 100 kg to 400 kg depending on the pipe size.
• What will be the operational cost of HyCator™: OLM reactor system?
The exact operational cost of HyCator can be estimated after the pilot trial.
• Do we get the operational and maintenance support?
For the operational and maintenance support you have to sign yearly Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).
• Is HyCator environmentally safe?
Yes it is, because it is mechanical device having no moving part and reduces the requirement of chemical for given capacity of cooling tower.
• What are the safety issues to be adopted during its course of operation and handling?
HyCator™: OLM Reactor System is a mechanical device having no moving parts and hence there is no critical safety measures that needs to be followed. However some of the general safety measures are as follows:
1. The weight of HyCator™: OLM Reactor System will be ~100 kg to 400 kg. So use appropriate chain pulley blocks or other lifting equipment is recommended during its installation.
2. Give the proper support to equipment and the adjoining piping. HyCator™: OLM Reactor System can be installed in any orientation.
3. While in operation HyCator™: OLM Reactor system does NOT generate pressure or temperature higher than the inlet water pressure and temperature. High pressure safety precaution needs to be taken as per your policy.
4. Install and Operate the equipment as per given instructions given in installation procedure.
